Tonsley Park in South Australia to take Hydrogen blend to the cooktop in a local suburb.
I have been to Tonsley Park and am continuously impressed by their forward-thinking and innovation. In 2018 plans laid out by Australian Gas Networks (AGN) indicate they will use renewable Hydrogen produced in Tonsley to create a blend of 5% hydrogen/natural gas which will be pipped to the doors of local consumers. The project is set to cost $11.4 million including a grant from the local government of $4.9m with a capacity of 1.25MW through the PEM electrolyser.
The system is going to be one of the largest of its kind in Australia, potentially paving the way for increased excitement around the industry.
